The Euro\u00adpean Mas\u00adter in Active Age\u00ading and Age-friend\u00adly Soci\u00adety (EMMA) is being devel\u00adoped by researchers and edu\u00adca\u00adtors from high\u00ader edu\u00adca\u00adtion insti\u00adtu\u00adtions in Fin\u00adland, Aus\u00adtria, Greece, Ire\u00adland, Por\u00adtu\u00adgal, and Slove\u00adnia. Our goal is to devel\u00adop an inter\u00addis\u00adci\u00adpli\u00adnary, future-ori\u00adent\u00aded, inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal master\u2019s pro\u00adgramme pro\u00advid\u00ading a wide range of pro\u00adfes\u00adsion\u00adals with tools for sys\u00adtemic active age\u00ading pro\u00admo\u00adtion for the continent\u2019s ben\u00ade\u00adfit. This project is sup\u00adport\u00aded by fund\u00ading from Eras\u00admus+.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

About EMMA<\/h1>\n\n\n\n

The EMMA project address\u00ades the oppor\u00adtu\u00adni\u00adties and chal\u00adlenges of the age\u00ading pop\u00adu\u00adla\u00adtion in Europe by devel\u00adop\u00ading an inter\u00addis\u00adci\u00adpli\u00adnary Euro\u00adpean Mas\u00adter in Active Age\u00ading and Age-friend\u00adly Soci\u00adety. The master\u2019s pro\u00adgramme will enable future grad\u00adu\u00adates to broad\u00aden their knowl\u00adedge and devel\u00adop skills for cre\u00adat\u00ading an inclu\u00adsive soci\u00adety and mean\u00ading\u00adful active age\u00ading pro\u00admo\u00adtion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

High\u00ader edu\u00adca\u00adtion insti\u00adtu\u00adtions in Fin\u00adland, Aus\u00adtria, Greece, Ire\u00adland, Slove\u00adnia, and Por\u00adtu\u00adgal com\u00adplete the inter\u00adna\u00adtion\u00adal and inter\u00addis\u00adci\u00adpli\u00adnary con\u00adsor\u00adtium. With exper\u00adtise from the fields of psy\u00adchol\u00ado\u00adgy, tech\u00adni\u00adcal sci\u00adences, social work, geri\u00adatrics, phys\u00adio\u00adther\u00ada\u00adpy, and relat\u00aded sub\u00adjects, our con\u00adsor\u00adtium works to cre\u00adate knowl\u00adedge and inno\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive good prac\u00adtices both for and with\u00adin the master\u2019s pro\u00adgramme. Stu\u00addent intake is to com\u00admence in 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Objective<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In cre\u00adat\u00ading this pro\u00adgramme, the project aims to iden\u00adti\u00adfy the nec\u00ades\u00adsary com\u00adpe\u00adtences for pro\u00adfes\u00adsion\u00adals while using the con\u00adcepts of healthy and active age\u00ading and age-friend\u00adly soci\u00adety. The inter\u00addis\u00adci\u00adpli\u00adnar\u00adi\u00adty of the project team will be reflect\u00aded in the cur\u00adricu\u00adlum of the master\u2019s pro\u00adgramme, which aims to cre\u00adate com\u00adpe\u00adtent pro\u00adfes\u00adsion\u00adals able to inno\u00adv\u00ada\u00adtive\u00adly solve the chal\u00adlenges of age\u00ading and age\u00ading soci\u00adeties, at local, nation\u00adal and Euro\u00adpean lev\u00adel. It is our inten\u00adtion to cre\u00adate a long-term, suc\u00adcess\u00adful, and wide\u00adly recog\u00adnised master\u2019s pro\u00adgramme with a diplo\u00adma recog\u00adnised and signed by all part\u00adner insti\u00adtu\u00adtions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The EMMA master\u2019s will be flex\u00adi\u00adble as it will be deliv\u00adered sole\u00adly online. It will be designed with applic\u00ada\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty and com\u00adpat\u00adi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adty in mind, to allow pro\u00adfes\u00adsion\u00adals from many fields who recog\u00adnise the need for exper\u00adtise in healthy and active age\u00ading and age-friend\u00adly soci\u00adety to get involved.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The process of cre\u00adat\u00ading this pro\u00adgramme is guid\u00aded by a series of intel\u00adlec\u00adtu\u00adal out\u00adputs, each build\u00ading on the process and results of the last: <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Output 1<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The needs analy\u00adsis focus\u00ades on poten\u00adtial stu\u00addent learn\u00ading needs and rel\u00ade\u00advant poli\u00adcies in healthy and active age\u00ading. The knowl\u00adedge gen\u00ader\u00adat\u00aded is gath\u00adered by scop\u00ading review and sur\u00advey of the broad range of stake\u00adhold\u00aders, as well as estab\u00adlish\u00ading a pol\u00adi\u00adcy repos\u00adi\u00adto\u00adry rep\u00adre\u00adsent\u00ading 10 EU coun\u00adtries. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Output 2<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The cur\u00adricu\u00adlum devel\u00adop\u00adment estab\u00adlish\u00ades the frame\u00adwork and learn\u00ading approach\u00ades of the EMMA master\u2019s pro\u00adgramme. This involves con\u00adsul\u00adta\u00adtion with Euro\u00adpean, nation\u00adal, and insti\u00adtu\u00adtion require\u00adments and col\u00adlec\u00adtion of best prac\u00adtices from the lit\u00ader\u00ada\u00adture and part\u00adner insti\u00adtu\u00adtions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Output 3<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The devel\u00adop\u00adment of the core mod\u00adules relies on the results of the needs analy\u00adsis and takes place in close col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adra\u00adtion with the next intel\u00adlec\u00adtu\u00adal out\u00adput. Struc\u00adtur\u00adal details (e.g. ECTS) will be derived from the results of the cur\u00adricu\u00adlum frame\u00adwork.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The elec\u00adtive mod\u00adules take a sim\u00adi\u00adlar devel\u00adop\u00admen\u00adtal route to the core mod\u00adules. The needs analy\u00adsis and con\u00adsor\u00adtium-wide dis\u00adcus\u00adsions helps to deter\u00admine whether top\u00adics are deemed core or elec\u00adtive. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Output 5<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

E\u2011learning plat\u00adform and tools is the basis for mod\u00adule devel\u00adop\u00adment by cre\u00adat\u00ading a sol\u00adid, sys\u00adtem\u00adat\u00adic, clear, flex\u00adi\u00adble, and trans\u00adpar\u00adent frame\u00adwork. There is care\u00adful explo\u00adration of cur\u00adrent prac\u00adtices and use of e\u2011learning plat\u00adforms, and the skills and com\u00adpe\u00adtences of online teach\u00ading in each part\u00adner insti\u00adtu\u00adtion.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The cre\u00adation of the val\u00adi\u00adda\u00adtion and qual\u00adi\u00adty assur\u00adance frame\u00adwork includes the devel\u00adop\u00adment of ref\u00ader\u00adence qual\u00adi\u00adty indi\u00adca\u00adtors, a method\u00adol\u00ado\u00adgy for review\u00ading edu\u00adca\u00adtion\u00adal con\u00adtent and process, and a tool kit for inter\u00adnal and exter\u00adnal review of the pro\u00adgramme. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Output 7<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The joint degree and accred\u00adi\u00adta\u00adtion frame\u00adwork is cre\u00adat\u00aded in close con\u00adsul\u00adta\u00adtion with the Euro\u00adpean Approach for Qual\u00adi\u00adty Assur\u00adance of Joint Pro\u00adgrammes (EQAR). The con\u00adsor\u00adtium col\u00adlab\u00ado\u00adrates to col\u00adlect com\u00adpar\u00adisons of expe\u00adri\u00adences and poli\u00adcies, review nation\u00adal legal accred\u00adi\u00adta\u00adtion frame\u00adworks, and agree on def\u00adi\u00adn\u00adi\u00adtions of the organ\u00adi\u00adsa\u00adtion\u00adal struc\u00adture and respon\u00adsi\u00adbil\u00adi\u00adties. The final out\u00adput being a pol\u00adi\u00adcy rec\u00adom\u00admen\u00adda\u00adtion on the accred\u00adi\u00adta\u00adtion of online joint degrees to inform leg\u00adis\u00adla\u00adtion at nation\u00adal and EU lev\u00adel. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
